It was all going so well, or so it seemed and then out comes the palate knife and I start scraping paint off the canvas until half the face has gone and the whole of the left side of the painting ends up in a piece of rag. A few days away in Devon and I'm ready to get back to it: roll on Monday.
North Yorkshire to Devon for 'a few days' sounds quite a commute... The painting's looking great, by the way.
