Self Portrait - work in progress

 It is a long time since I did a self portrait - perhaps two years and I found myself working on this one as a preliminary for a future project. Unfortunately it has taken me down a winding lane of uncertainty to a place I niether intended nor wanted to visit. I will see if I can rescue it when I get into the studio on Monday otherwise it will morph into a landscape or a seascape or kittens in a basket!
